5th Place | Voted Out 3-2
By Nate Gonzalez
#5082 N8 here, fresh off my release from Cook Island County, questions:

How’d you feel about Liliana going home?

Looking at the tribal council, it seems like the vote should have been unanimous for Liliana. Why do you think it wasn’t and do you think it has any impact on the rest of the season?

This is the second vote in a row where four people got votes. Do you think that this is going to continue? Does this say anything about the way the game has been played or will be in the future?

Now that we’re at Final 11, do you feel like you are an under the radar or over the top player? Do you feel like an under the radar or over the top player is the next to go?

This tends to be the point where a strong core group of people tends to form and lines get drawn in the sand. Who’s on your side and how sure of that are you?

#5121 A team exists to help protect these lands (nature reserves)
The road to meet them is wet and fast (river)
Succeed and safety rests in your hands (idol)
W-onon-ne - finding them is your task (tiriyo)

Every damn river in Suriname, every tribe in Suriname, every nature reserve and acronym, all of that shit without the letter O in them. This is tough shit!

Assuming it hasn't been found yet, I WILL find it if I get another clue. I must get it.

#5124 I'm not giving you any tips or hints, I'm just talking to you about your own thoughts (for the record. Anyone who has ever showed an interest in idol solving gets this treatment /enddisclaimer)

I notice you're having trouble with where I am placing the emphasis on words in each line - obviously I can't clarify that icon_laughing can you let me know what your current thinking is for where that emphasis is?

From your audio confessional, you believe w-onon-ne to be a reference to the Tiriyo language, with your translation of w-onon-ne as "I hid O". So, your approach is to remove the letter 'o' from all of your password attempts, is that right?

How close do you think you are to cracking it? What are the chances someone else has already done so?

#5125 I wouldn't want any hints anyway. It wouldn't be satisfying finding it if I had a hint.

I'm trying to read it with the emphasis on every word so I don't get stuck reading it a certain way.

1.
A team exists to help protect THESE lands
The road to meet them is wet and fast
Succeed and safety rests in your hands
W-onon-ne - finding them is your task

2.
A team exists to help protect these lands
The ROAD to meet them is wet and fast
Succeed and safety rests in your hands
W-onon-ne - finding them is your task

3.
A team exists to help protect these lands
The road to meet them is wet and fast
Succeed and safety rests in your hands
W-onon-ne - finding THEM is your task

My guess would be the third option, but I'm trying to look at it from all angles and take into consideration the first clue, which makes me think that it has more to do with the nature preservation aspect of it. HOWEVER, I would imagine each clue is meant to be a bigger help than the last so clue #2 seems to put more emphasis on the river (/body of water) and/or the Tiriyo tribe.

The letter O thing is correct. That seems like a stretch that I would have to remove the letter O from the password, but I'm not ruling it out, though.

I feel like the password was very basic and easy and someone has already found it as a result, OR it's just hard as shit. I'm hoping the latter, but I've got some time to keep trying. I want this thing so damn badly.

You're gonna make such an excellent fellow idol-maker icon_wub We can test the difficulty of our clues on each other and enjoy the puzzle of it *daydreams*

---

Do you remember the process you followed last season?

So based on your 1-2-3 outline, is that where you got your "guess the 1. reserves 2. rivers 3. tribes" approach? Are you focusing on one part at a time or just whatever catches your eye? :)

.... I am aware I am only distracting you from the search but it's so interesting D: I'd love to go on survivor just to have an actual spoken conversation with someone solving riddles

#5127 I love puzzles so even though this is stressing me out, I do have fun trying to figure it out.

Well, last season I started looking for the idol before getting a clue because Jeff said that the password pertained to the Faroe Islands, so I just tried a bunch of shit that had to do with Faroese culture and locations/landmarks. I can't remember the clue specifically, but it mentioned a body of water or something and that DRASTICALLY helped narrow it down until I got the password, which I still remember to be grafelli. icon_smile

I'm trying things to do with nature reserves, then move on to water, then to tribes, try a combination of all and repeat hoping I find something that I missed before.

I'm still so pissed about that damn half idol. I just have half of an idol that's sitting around like a potato.

icon_whistling just like him to casually give out pertinent information (even though that's always the case unless he's stuck making clues... lol) icon_laughing

Grafelli <3 It's always fun trying to make an idol with such limited source material. When wikipedia is your oyster, it's rough when there's only a couple of pages to use.

How do you think clues 1 & 2 interact? What do you expect might be revealed from a 3rd clue?

#5129 Well, the translated parts of the anthem of Suriname said that we should take care of our country and the soil of Suriname is calling you, so I assume that works more with the whole reserve aspect of this.

I also just found out that the Galibi Reserve is only accessible by water, so I may have something here since that works with clue #2.

I couldn't even guess what clue #3 would have in store.

I MUST SEARCH MORE! I FEEL MYSELF GETTING CLOSER!

#5130 I don't have anything else to say right now that wouldn't be me trying to push you in any particular way so *watches and waits to see more progress updates*

#5140 I gotta give up for the night considering that it's kind of 4:00am. I need this idol like I need cheese. Not necessary for survival, but damn does it make life amazing! icon_razz

#5204 So my name, according to Kimmi is being thrown around. I don't think much of it, but it's always nerve-wracking even if you don't believe it to be true.

The plan is to split the votes between Sophie and Marissa and hopefully Sophie doesn't play her idol and she gets voted out. If she does play it, we vote out Marissa.

Even if Kimmi is telling the truth and my name is being written down tonight, I don't believe for a second that Kimmi is planning to get rid of Sophie, her partner. Especially when there's only 3 pairs of partners left.

Hopefully either Sophie or Marissa gets voted out tonight.

And hopefully I get another HII clue. icon_wub

#5211 "If Marissa is immune", she says. icon_lol

Marissa will never win anything. She won't be immune tonight. Not even a worry for me.
