DAVID MURPHY
Stranded In Namibia (Season 21), 2nd Place (Tied)

Going into Namibia, David seemed to be one of the more intelligent and well-rounded players in that cast, and during the pre-merge portion of the game he was just kind of there, playing the UTR game, not really doing anything but floating along. He was boring. But then the merge hit and David went bonkers. He massively overplayed his hand and made a lot of really questionable moves, and we saw a whole new unpredictable side of David that we didn't see earlier in the game.

David is easily one of, if not, the person I'm most looking forward to seeing how they change their game up this season. He has the makings of a great player, he just needs to know when to slow down a bit and think about the moves he makes before making him. If he doesn't do that then I expect to see David overplaying again.

DIANE OGDEN
Stranded In Venezuela (Season 19), 16th Place

In her original season Diane was pretty much the centerpiece of her tribe for the 3 rounds she lasted. She was the punching bag of her tribe, and people hated her so much that a majority alliance was created solely just to get her out. Nobody really knows why she was so hated, but I assume it was because of her poor social skills.

Diane won't win this game, but that doesn't mean she won't go far either. Diane is just not all there mentally, and unless she improved her social skills there's a very good chance she'll be leaving early. But at the same time, she could come off as endearing to her tribe and last a while. At the end of the day, I don't see her winning though.

Image

LILIANA GOMEZ
Stranded In Faroe Islands (Season 25), 8th Place

My biggest gripe with Liliana is that she showed promise pre-game and then never delivered on it. Straight up. Just based solely on their past seasons, Liliana is probably one of the most boring people in this cast. I feel like she needs to do a better job socially if she wants to last here, and if she shows us the firecracker personality she promised us pre-game in Faroe then she's definitely not long for this game. Not liking her chances.

Image

SANDRA DIAZ-TWINE
Stranded In Palmyra (Season 6), 5th Place

I don't know much about Sandra's stint on Stranded, but I do know outside of Stranded she is an ORG veteran who has played in a countless number of games. The experience factor should give her an edge on the competition for sure since there aren't a lot of ORG vets here. I know Cat normally likes to play shticks but with her not really having the best Stranded legacy out there I'm willing to bet that she really wants to win this one. Hopefully her activity level won't be problem and we can really see Sandra redesign her game and become a legend.

Image

SEAN RECTOR
Stranded In Venezuela (Season 19), 6th Place
Stranded With Legends (Season 20), 20th Place
Stranded In Marquesas (Season 24), 21st Place

Oh man, I'm really rooting for Sean here. Anyone who saw Venezuela knows that Sean is a fantastic gameplayer and has it in him to succeed. He was supposed to be the first boot of that season but with the help of others he managed to survive and overthrow King John Carroll in the first vote off (more on John later). He went on to become the golden boy of Stranded, was insanely strategic but still had a lot of charm and funniness to him that made him entertaining. He has a silver tongue and can really compel people to do what he says if they are not aware enough. He pulled off one of the greatest moves in Stranded history when he used two fake idols he created to get out the arrogant Frank in the last round before the merge. And ironically enough, it was Frank who went on to reach Stranded stardom while Sean fell away from the spotlight. Sean returned for Legends, had a disappointing outing, was given another shot in Marquesas, and disappointed again. And I know he was having timing issues in those days.

Sean has a lot of determination to do good here, because like Poody said, this is his FOURTH shot. This is it. If he doesn't impress here, he is done. He will not be looked at as one of Stranded's best. He will stay out of the spotlight. But Sean has so much determination and drive to play a great game here that I think he will make it far, and hopefully he can bring out the good old Venezuela Sean Rector out again.

SHANE POWERS
Stranded In Aruba (Season 2), 10th Place
Stranded With All-Stars (Season 4), 2nd Place (Tied)

I have no idea what to expect from Shane here. And I mean that literally, because he said he's keeping his game a surprise. The only thing he would reveal is that he will either be out first or make the F4, and that honestly scares the shit out of me yet excites me at the same time. I LOVE that we have no idea what Shane is bringing this season, because he is one of the original Stranded greats. Will he bring out the crazy OTTN Shane? Will he try to win? I don't know, and I love it. I think the biggest question mark with Shane is the fact that he hasn't played a game in years. He's probably very rusty, and hopefully he can find his footing early in opening weekend and really start to get going. I want Shane to go extremely far here so bad, but can I honestly say that he will? I don't know.

JENNA LEWIS
Stranded In Nepal (Season 23), 20th Place

Look, here's the the thing with Jenna, I appreciate her passion for wanting to play again. I love that she wants this badly. But my love for her stops there. I stand by the fact that she's boring, and that she doesn't have enough experience to be a good gameplayer. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part, but I'm saying early boot.

Image

JIM RICE
Stranded In Namibia (Season 21), 16th Place (Quit)

Jim was one of the early stand outs in Namibia who unfortunately had to quit due to a family emergency, and I think that was the climax point of when everyone knew that the Namibia pre-merge was going to blow chunks.

As a good friend of Jim's outside of this game, I gotta be honest and say that I don't see him lasting long, especially since he wants to be the schemer. But for however long he lasts, he will be damn entertaining. Jim has got a great sense of humor, probably the funniest contestant this season, but sometimes his humor doesn't really connect well with people and actually kind of offends them. Trust me, I would know. I expect Jim to be a sleazy schemer here and if he gets caught by his tribemates then he's outta here, no doubt about it.

Image

JOHN CARROLL
Stranded In Venezuela (Season 19), 18th Place

John is easily one of the biggest first boots in Stranded history. He started out the game in control of his tribe, made a majority alliance, and had people buying his charm and eating out of the palm of his hand. He really was playing a Lucifer sort of game where he compelled a cult of people in the first couple days to follow his lead. Everyone was so sure he had this tribe on lockdown that we already began fantasizing a John vs Frank battle for the ages. But then something changed. People eventually saw through his bullshit, and before he knew it, he was the first boot of Venezuela as the game completely flipped on his head in what was one of the greatest first rounds in Stranded history.

I think John really learned a lot from his vote out and is ready to fix his mistakes here. I still think he will be quite devious, but more UTR devious, a snake in the grass. He knows that putting himself way to out there as the leader the first time he played is what cost him and I think it frightened him enough that he wants to play more behind the scenes this time. I'm excited to see how he does this season, and I can see him going far.

Image

KELLY WIGLESWORTH
Stranded In Bolivia (Season 1), 6th Place
Stranded With All-Stars (Season 4), 10th Place

I know very little about Kelly but I'm excited to see her play here because she is a Stranded OG. Very first season, and it's going to be exciting to watch a player I know almost nothing about. I'm interested to see how she comes into the game and if she's able to adapt after being gone from gaming so many years. Stranded, similar to reveal Survivor, has changed a lot over the years. The good thing for Kelly is that she seems really dedicated to play, and I feel like she can do fine here as long as she can find her footing early on.

Image

MARISSA PETERSON
Stranded In Portugal (Season 22), 6th Place

I'll admit that playing in Portugal, once we merged I wrote Marissa off. She never really spoke to me as someone who excited me or who I wanted to play with. But once I found my way on the jury she proved me wrong and showed that she has a lot of game and spunk, and is definitely an all star.

I think Marissa is a real dark horse coming into this game. I feel we'll either get the spunky, gaming side of her or the UTR, not very social side. And I hope it's the former. Also, knowing dancecab, I'm a bit worried about her activity level. We'll see, I guess.

Image

MOOKIE LEE
Stranded In Faroe Islands (Season 25), 17th Place

All in all, Mookie is probably my favorite player in this cast. He's funny, witty, charismatic, emotional, arrogant, and a bit of an asshole all rolled into one. And he does have some game. Mookie came into the game last season and was confused opening weekend and not really knowing what to do, and I think that was one thing that really cost him last season. He never played in a game before and didn't know what he was doing, but he eventually got the hang of it and now has experience this time around. Granted, he didn't last long enough last time, but he got enough experience to be prepared for this.

Seeing Mookie leave early was heartbreaking, and I'm so excited he's getting a second chance here. He's kind of like Jim but I think Mookie will be more active of the two. God damn, I really hope we get a Mookie/Jim team up, that will be glorious. I feel like if Mookie can stay active enough and have the same sort of asshole charm that comes across as funny like he did last season, he can last awhile.

ARTIS SILVESTER
Stranded In Nepal (Season 23), 13th Place

I loved Artis in Nepal. I get he's not the most interesting guy but his almost robot like personality is so great. He always has the wheels turning in his head and is always thinking and that's what cost him his first time playing. Going into this season I think Artis needs to make more human connections with people, but at the same time still keep that gamer personality. Fortunately for him, his tribe seems to be mostly filled with gamers so I think he should be fine here as long as he can stay active enough.

Image

CARL BILANCIONE
Stranded In Mongolia (Season 5), 6th Place
Stranded With Rivals (Season 12), 5th Place

I don't know much about Carl but from what I've heard he sounds like he's practically legend status, so I don't necessarily agree with him being on this season. He hasn't played in forever though, so I'll let it slide. From what I know of Kirblar at Sucks, he's a relatively smart, funny guy and I think he will be very endearing socially. I don't know if he's played in any games recently but I think he knows what he is doing here and should have no problem going far here.

Image

JESSICA "FLICKA" SMITH
Stranded In Faroe Islands (Season 25), 11th Place

So excited to see Flicka back. Her growth storyline was one of my favorite ones last season, and it was like I was watching a girl become a woman. I think she has one of the best apps here as well. She learned a lot last season over the course of the game and I think she's coming into this as someone who can really take the game by the horns and be a real player here. If she can remain super adorable and likable socially like she did last season as well than she should have no problem going far in this game.

Image

KIM POWERS
Stranded In Venezuela (Season 19), 10th Place
Stranded In Portugal (Season 22), 18th Place

I just never really liked Kim P. She never piqued my interest and I just find her boring. And when she does bring out the bitchy side of her it just comes across as annoying. Nothing against her, I just hope she leaves early.

Image

RUPERT BONEHAM
Stranded In Palmyra (Season 6), 3rd Place

Rupert just seems like a nice guy. I don't think he's devious or cutthroat, just extremely nice. I feel like that should help him socially, but at the same time with this season being full returnees it's going to be cutthroat so I don't think he will have a chance to win. I'm also a bit worried about his activity. I think it's a toss up for him.

Image

SOPHIE CLARKE
Stranded In Namibia (Season 21), 5th Place

Sophie was a huge character in her first season, she was down in a 8-4 majority at the merge and managed to last all the way until the F5. She was the biggest hater of the "Blue Bloods", the majority alliance in what she appropriately named because they wouldn't break up, always calling them out at tribal council. She was a true underdog that season who managed to scratch and claw her way to deep into the game and probably would've won if she made the F3.

Going into this season, I think Sophie has enough ORG experience where she will be a big gamer and will probably be a power player here. But knowing Tracy, she eventually will get very arrogant and crash and burn, I'm betting early jury.

GABRIEL CADE
Stranded In Venezuela (Season 19), 2nd Place

I was a fairly big defender of Gabriel's game in Venezuela, I don't think he should've won but he did deserve a bit more credit than what he was getting from the jury.

But just judging his app, it seems like Gabriel has gone off the fucking deep end. He's talking about smoking weed and doing psychedelic drugs, he's posting in small caps for everything, he doesn't seem all there mentally. He said doing drugs has made him smarter but I fucking doubt that. So now I'm not so sure with his longevity here. It will be interesting to see him in this.

Image

KIMMI KAPPENBERG
Stranded In Nepal (Season 23), 3rd Place

In Nepal, Kimmi was the best player socially and was poised to win the game before she blew the FTC and Jeff owned it. I think that's still kind of haunting her, and she definitely wants redemption.

I think Kimmi is honestly the easy winner pick here. Gerbil has been playing in a bunch of ORGs for two years now, is great socially, plays a great UTR strategic game, is very likable, good enough in challenges. It's so easy to pick her as the winner that it just seems too easy. I agree with Probst that she will most likely make the merge, and she could easily take this game all the way to the end because she's so hard to spot as a threat.

Image

KRISTINA KELL
Stranded In Namibia (Season 21), 8th Place

Kristina is a bit of a toss up. She has what it takes to be a dominating force but always seems to fade in the background and just be kind of there. I hope she really comes in here and is the power player we all know she can be, and I hope her IRL problems won't damage her activity in this game.

Image

OZZY LUSTH
Stranded In Faroe Islands (Season 25), 20th Place (Quit)

Ozzy is the biggest wild card in this cast, because you can make the argument that he's never really played Stranded before. He showed up on opening day, sent a few messages, disappeared, and then came back saying he had to quit. Never competed in a challenge, never went to tribal. So I'm intrigued to see Ozzy play this season. He had serious potential based on his app and I hope he lives up to it here.

I think he's sort of having a good vs evil internal struggle going on. He's debating with himself "Should I play to win, or should I play to be an asshole and cause chaos?". I fully believe that going into last season that Ozzy wanted to be the chaotic villain but because of his disappointing quit it seems like he really wants to go and win this season. It'll be interesting to see which side of Ozzy we get.

Image

JESSICA "SUGER" KIPER
Stranded In Zamibia (Season 10), 9th Place

I'm really excited to see Sugar just because Poody has known her since pre-stranded days. If Poody is hyping her up than she better be good. I don't think she's all there strategically but she seems like a really fun personality that will bring a lot of entertainment. It just depends if her personality will make her tribe find her endearing or piss off her tribe. It will be interesting to see it play out.

Image

YAU-MAN CHAN
Stranded In Faroe Islands (Season 25), 16th Place (Quit)

Let's get this out of the fucking way right now: Yau is not lasting long. If he lasts 5 rounds I will be shocked. If he makes the merge I will chop my dick off. If he didn't quit last season than he probably would've become the most hated contestant in Stranded History. He's a huge arrogant and sociopathic asshole who doesn't give a shit about anyone else and is selfish as fuck. He will do whatever it takes to survive and is delusional as fuck. Even if he improves his social game this season I still don't see him lasting very long. He will be fun for however long he lasts but there's literally a 0% chance he's winning this season or even coming close to winning.

#139 The only reason Sean failed in Legends was because I made a poor move and it screwed him over. He was going to have more of an uphill battle in Marquesas given how close 75% of the cast was outside of the game (with so many friendships/enemies), but he could have at least made the merge and been a part of The Scissor Sisters (me, Jolanda, Ken) but I didn't let him. His two failures are my fault so he definitely deserves this 4th shot. It's his second chance to play without Mia. :)
