JENNA LEWISStranded In Nepal (Season 23), 20th PlaceLook, here's the the thing with Jenna, I appreciate her passion for wanting to play again. I love that she wants this badly. But my love for her stops there. I stand by the fact that she's boring, and that she doesn't have enough experience to be a good gameplayer. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part, but I'm saying early boot.
JIM RICEStranded In Namibia (Season 21), 16th Place (Quit)Jim was one of the early stand outs in Namibia who unfortunately had to quit due to a family emergency, and I think that was the climax point of when everyone knew that the Namibia pre-merge was going to blow chunks.
As a good friend of Jim's outside of this game, I gotta be honest and say that I don't see him lasting long, especially since he wants to be the schemer. But for however long he lasts, he will be damn entertaining. Jim has got a great sense of humor, probably the funniest contestant this season, but sometimes his humor doesn't really connect well with people and actually kind of offends them. Trust me, I would know. I expect Jim to be a sleazy schemer here and if he gets caught by his tribemates then he's outta here, no doubt about it.
JOHN CARROLLStranded In Venezuela (Season 19), 18th PlaceJohn is easily one of the biggest first boots in Stranded history. He started out the game in control of his tribe, made a majority alliance, and had people buying his charm and eating out of the palm of his hand. He really was playing a Lucifer sort of game where he compelled a cult of people in the first couple days to follow his lead. Everyone was so sure he had this tribe on lockdown that we already began fantasizing a John vs Frank battle for the ages. But then something changed. People eventually saw through his bullshit, and before he knew it, he was the first boot of Venezuela as the game completely flipped on his head in what was one of the greatest first rounds in Stranded history.
I think John really learned a lot from his vote out and is ready to fix his mistakes here. I still think he will be quite devious, but more UTR devious, a snake in the grass. He knows that putting himself way to out there as the leader the first time he played is what cost him and I think it frightened him enough that he wants to play more behind the scenes this time. I'm excited to see how he does this season, and I can see him going far.
KELLY WIGLESWORTHStranded In Bolivia (Season 1), 6th PlaceStranded With All-Stars (Season 4), 10th PlaceI know very little about Kelly but I'm excited to see her play here because she is a Stranded OG. Very first season, and it's going to be exciting to watch a player I know almost nothing about. I'm interested to see how she comes into the game and if she's able to adapt after being gone from gaming so many years. Stranded, similar to reveal Survivor, has changed a lot over the years. The good thing for Kelly is that she seems really dedicated to play, and I feel like she can do fine here as long as she can find her footing early on.
MARISSA PETERSONStranded In Portugal (Season 22), 6th PlaceI'll admit that playing in Portugal, once we merged I wrote Marissa off. She never really spoke to me as someone who excited me or who I wanted to play with. But once I found my way on the jury she proved me wrong and showed that she has a lot of game and spunk, and is definitely an all star.
I think Marissa is a real dark horse coming into this game. I feel we'll either get the spunky, gaming side of her or the UTR, not very social side. And I hope it's the former. Also, knowing dancecab, I'm a bit worried about her activity level. We'll see, I guess.
MOOKIE LEEStranded In Faroe Islands (Season 25), 17th PlaceAll in all, Mookie is probably my favorite player in this cast. He's funny, witty, charismatic, emotional, arrogant, and a bit of an asshole all rolled into one. And he does have some game. Mookie came into the game last season and was confused opening weekend and not really knowing what to do, and I think that was one thing that really cost him last season. He never played in a game before and didn't know what he was doing, but he eventually got the hang of it and now has experience this time around. Granted, he didn't last long enough last time, but he got enough experience to be prepared for this.
Seeing Mookie leave early was heartbreaking, and I'm so excited he's getting a second chance here. He's kind of like Jim but I think Mookie will be more active of the two. God damn, I really hope we get a Mookie/Jim team up, that will be glorious. I feel like if Mookie can stay active enough and have the same sort of asshole charm that comes across as funny like he did last season, he can last awhile.
