#2552 I mean, statistically over a long enough game there's no difference between placing more or less coins. In a 3 spot game we can either place 1 coin and have a 1/3 chance of gaining 2 coins and a 2/3 chance of losing 1 coin or we can place 2 coins and have a 2/3 chance of gaining 1 coin but a 1/3 chance of losing two. So it all comes down to luck I guess, since the choice of how many coins to use is meaningless.

Oh okay. That makes sense. So basically this is complete guesswork and takes a lot of the stress out of this. Our focus is just not revealing too much of a pattern on where we're placing our coins and too look for patterns that the other tribe may be showing. I do like your idea of using a random generator in that case.

#2568 When hiding the stone don't choose the number for yourself, use a random number generator like this one:https://www.random.org/

If you choose it yourself every time then you run the risk of falling into predictable patterns.

This may be true, but picking the same number again is not something I would recommend, even if the random.org picks it or whatever. It just seems like they would be more inclined to think that we would do it or something tricky like that.
