Day 01: Stranded in SurinameWelcome, players, to Stranded in Suriname: Second Chance!
*shots of nature and contestants sizing each other up*
*intense shots of Sophie, Kristina, and Sean, the season's pre-determined Final 3... who will win, though???*
*shots of other contestants, acknowledging that they are filler characters for three much more important players this season*
The contestants reach a boat in the middle of some random ass lagoon. Poody is standing there to welcome them.
"Welcome, players! I'm so exciting to have all of you this season. As I'm sure you've all figured out by now, this is a second chance season! Except for the fact that some of you are playing for the 3rd, 4th, or maybe even 5th time. I've lost track. Anyways, that's not important, and neither am I. Allow me to step down to welcome the most important host of this season..."
*Mia steps off her luxurious yacht to stand next to Poody, who kindly takes a seat in the background as the filler character he is*
*the players laud Mia's arrival with uproarious applause*
*Mia takes a subtle bow. The attention doesn't seem to get to her head. She is humble, kind, and approachable. She possesses all the qualities that a two-time fan favorite should*
"Hello players!!! Welcome to Stranded in Suriname!!!!"
*the players go wild again. Mia calms them with a subtle wave of her soft, delicate hands*
"I'm so excited to welcome you all here today. Before we start, I want to fill you in on some essential Stranded back story to help inspire you and put you in the right state of mind for this second chance!"
*some of the players tear up a little bit. They realize how kind and caring Mia is....*
"On this day, November 8th, 2012... three long years ago... Stranded in Costa Rica began. 18 players entered the Costa Rican jungles for the first time. And one of those special players entered the game far out of her league. She was set to go home early.... UNTIL.... and early tribe swap saved her. That player then managed to use the swap to her advantage... to take control of her fate..... AND the game."
*a dead, heavy silence washes over the players. they are inspired. in awe. they don't know what to think*
Mia clears her throat.
"Players... believe it or not, that player.... was ME!"
*eyes pop open in disbelief*
"That's right. When Poody was helping me plan this season, we needed inspiration. We were stuck. We didn't know what to do. And that's when it hit us--- what better way to model a season than after the most inspiring second chance story in all of Stranded history?"
*ALL of the players nod in agreement*
"So that's why you're all here. You all deserve another shot. And we want you all to seize this opportunity. Make the most of it. WIN!"
*The players cheer again*
"And whoever wins, wins the greatest honor of all: You get to share your win with me!"
*The players begin to mutter amongst themselves, realizing just how high the stakes are this season. They realize that there has never been a more coveted prize in all of Stranded History!*
*Mia steps forward*
"Players, with that, I must leave you to start your game and your journey. Don't let yourselves down. But most of all, don't let me down. Good luck. I'm rooting for all of you!"
*Mia winks at Sean, Kristina, and Sophie*
*Mia steps back onto her yacht and leaves*
*Poody defecates*
*The players cheer, going wild. They are hyped up beyond belief*
